As drones are used more frequently, managing, viewing and distributing video feeds is becoming vital. DarkLake is our drone management system compatible with DJI and FPV drones, where you see all your drones in real time on a map, and can view and even control the destinations, view video feeds and manage video distribution to stakeholders, over a secure, granular permissioned, and audited/tracked website that is accessible from any device.
We have developed our own AI/Object detection and tracking system running the powerful OpenCV. Running on the drone in realtime, which then talks directly to Betaflight/iNav/Ardupilot to track and position the drone and even a full guidance system, all without any connection to the ground. With the flick of a switch it can fly traditionally or automated, and hunt for objects in RF denied environments
The K9 Dogcam has been designed and tested by our team to take the same low latency, long range video transmission from a drone and mount it to a dog. We designed and manufacture out of carbon fiber and 3D printed parts to make it incredibly durable
The video stream can be viewed by the team locally on a monitor or streamed over 5G/Starlink to our DarkLake system to share the video with the wider team and stakeholders and integrate into existing platforms already adopted.
A micro drone deployed ahead of entry teams to search buildings and confined spaces, complete with a high powered LED search light. It provides live HD video directly to armed officers on scene and to remotely via Microsoft Teams or other secure platforms.
This delivers real-time situational awareness, supports rapid threat assessment, and enables informed tactical decision-making, reducing uncertainty and risk prior to forced or dynamic entry.
A drone ranging in sizes from small to mid, capable of entering a building or perching on a roof. It uses multiple WiFi cards and mini computers connected over 4G/5G for WiFi sniffing and attacks such as disabling wireless cameras or accessing networks.
Ranging from a small hard to detect with a minimal battery for quick testing, ranging up to a larger drone with long standby battery for a prolonged mission.
A larger 10" FPV drone, piloted in either traditional manual, or flying pre-programmed way points, or using its on board Jetson nano, it uses AI to identify and track targets, and then enters a terminal track, all through fully RF denied environments.
When RF is available it can stream video back over usual cameras, or IR/thermal, carrying a 1-5kg Payload delivery capabilities and can be streamed via MissionLink to our DarkLake drone management system for live critical decisions
5" drones are the entry level size for basic pilot training, durable, crash proof and easy to repair, they are the perfect platform to master FPV flying. One of the most common to find sizes.
7" FPV drones work well for lightweight scenarios and pilot training. Able to fly long distances and carry basic weights the 7" is a tried and tested platform with good flight characteristics.
10" FPV drones have because prolifically used on the modern battlefield, they have become the goto platform for long range and weight capacity. After basic training with a 5/7/8 inch drone the 10" flies almost identically and can be picked up very easily by most pilots.
Cheap, adaptable, quick to repair and a large supply chain the 10" has become the size most pilots think of when you say "fpv drone". Firefly is able to produce 10" drones in high volume with quick turn around times, with high quality and manufacturing consistancy.
13" FPV drones are for very capable heavy lift, ISR, and over all long duration flights, available in lots of configurations and capabilities, these are a workhorse of the modern day.
With so many types of drones on so many systems we believe a future issue will be compiling all the data collected in real time, to then be filtered and presented in a way to let key people make decisions and pass video or data onto other stakeholders.
MissionLink sits between the drones/pilots and DarkLake. Streaming video and telemetry such as GPS into the network. It shouldn't matter if its DJI, Analog, Walksnail, Parrot, FPV, Ardupilot - the data needs to be simply presented to the right people at the right time. MissionLink and DarkLake do this.
As a proudly British company, we exclusively collaborate with partners who can
demonstrate alignment with UK government's principals and policies.
We have full in house CAD design, carbon fiber CNC, and 3D printing facilities. Having the ability to rapidly design, build, test then refine to perfection. We have a long history in manufacturing so understand supply chains and logistics through to quality control and common issues such as customs. We have connections in manufacturing in UK, Taiwan, South Korea, Israel, Ukraine and more so as not to be over reliant on Chinese only parts
